Integrative Manual Therapy

Who can benefit?

Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) is beneficial for a wide range of issues including musculoskeletal, immunity, digestive, and stress related issues.  Because the techniques used are gentle they are suitable for everyone from babies to the elderly.

What is Integrative Manual Therapy?

Integrative Manual Therapy (IMT) is a non-invasive, holistic therapy that uses the hands to support the body's innate healing capacity. IMT considers all aspects of the body (organs, muscles, blood vessels, membranes and nerves) since they are all inter-dependent.

Using both traditional and specialized diagnostic skills, IMT therapists identify the different layers of dysfunction contributing to the individual's problems, identifying the primary cause, not just the symptoms.  Gentle movements of the hand trigger messages in the body's 'computer' providing an opportunity to change its functioning, and gradually restore the structural integrity of all elements in the body. In some situations, dysfunction and pain can be a symptom of emotional stresses or traumas stored in elements of our body, (recent or past) and Integrative Manual Therapy can also work to address these.
